The infrastructure that
makes belonging possible.
For every student. By design.

Cape Cod & the Islands · Grades 6 -12
The infrastructure that makes belonging possible.
The Belonging Network is a regional intermediary that bridges schools and real-world opportunity — building the partnerships and implementation support to make it happen equitably, sustainably, and by design.
The Belonging Network is a nonprofit education intermediary that partners with schools to build the infrastructure for whole-school, belonging-focused career exploration — ensuring every student, regardless of background or zip code, has access to the mentors, experiences, and connections that make a future feel possible. We sit between schools and the broader community, doing the coordination work that educators are committed to but rarely have the capacity to sustain alongside everything else they are responsible for — so that belonging and career-connected learning become structural features of the school experience for every student.
THE CHALLENGE
The problem is structural, not motivational.
Career exploration in middle school too often depends on who a teacher happens to know, or whether a district has the budget for a career day. Students from under-resourced communities — who most need structured access to professional networks — are most likely to go without. We're changing that.
🔗
No Centralized Network
Educators are expected to recruit and manage partners alone — with no time or budget to do it well.
📋
MyCAP Without Support
Massachusetts mandates MyCAP in grades 6–12. The mandate exists. The infrastructure doesn't.
⚖️
An Inequity Problem
Social capital shouldn't determine who gets to imagine a future. We're changing that.
OUR MODEL
Two components. One coherent system.
The Belonging Network operates through two integrated components that work together to make career-connected learning sustainable, equitable, and embedded in everyday school life.
Part 1: Centralized Partnership System
We recruit, vet, and onboard industry partners — coordinating mentoring, site visits, and panels so educators don't have to.
Part 2: MyCAP Implementation Support
We coach school teams in building a grades 6–8 scope and sequence, with curriculum resources and ongoing professional learning.
"Schools want to provide career-connected learning — but the infrastructure to do it doesn't exist. That's what we build."
WHO WE SERVE
Built for every student. Designed to reach those who need it most.
🎒
Middle School Learners
Our primary focus - grades 6 through 8 - with a long-term vision of vertical alignment through high school. Every student, every school, every town.
👩🏫
Educators & Schools
We remove the coordination burden from teachers and advisors, providing professional learning, coaching, and a ready-made partner network so educators can focus on instruction.
